What got me into Horror movies anyway?

Well I would have to say there were numerous films that got me hooked on horror but the real kickers, the ones that started it all were Dawn Of The Dead and Alien when I was 5 or 6 you know those moments where your Dad falls asleep watching some strange scary movie it's 3am and you get up in the middle of the night watching it while everyone else is asleep, you know what I'm talking about? You can't go back to sleep because you're curious as to what the hell those sounds were and then you get where your eyes are glued, mesmerized and that's when it happens, BAM! you're scared out of your mind but you're oddly drawn in to it all? Anyway more movies soon followed like Critters, Ghoulies, Gremlins that began to draw me in because of their not so in your face scare factor, they were more humorous than terrifying. And since then I've been hooked on horror. It's getting to be an addiction, the more I see, the more I want? And not only mainstream I also watch obscure, rare and foreign. As far as my favorite genre goes the Classic Monster films and 80's horror are definitely my favorite!
